Informative and bioenergetic importance of various forms of massage.

In every living organism, biological processes based on the biofeedback mechanism constantly take place. The basis of these biological feedback loops is the flow of information between decision centres in the nervous system. The information comes from the sense organs, and in particular from the tactile sense (touch). As a result of various types of dysfunctions, the flow of information is disturbed and, consequently, the proper functioning of the body is disturbed.

The aim of the article is focused on two tasks – on the one hand, to show the ways of unblocking the information transmission pathways, and on the other, to draw attention to the bioenergetic aspect, inseparable from the therapist-patient contact. The definition of biofield (aura) was given, taking into account the historical aspect, and the practical methods of bioenergotherapy used today were listed. For the transmission of information, the following were used: classic massage, point massage (acupressure) and reflexotherapy on the foot microsystem. The role of pain as a warning signal of tissues against damage was emphasized.
